Many people have heard about foothold traps, AKA leg hold traps, steel traps, jaw, traps, etc., but most people don’t have firsthand knowledge of what these tools actually do. There’s lots of myths and propaganda about these traps being a cruel device that breaks bones, severs the limbs of animals, causes permanent injury, etc. I’m here to tell you the truth about foothold traps, which is they are simply the most humane and effective tool for selective capture of wildlife. When you watch this video, notice that there’s no blood, no severed limbs, no broken bones, just simply a restrained animal. Most people don’t realize that a cage type trap actually induces far more stress on an animal as they struggle to find their way out of a situation, they don’t understand. Foot traps, induce little to no stress as the animal can still move about and perceives it to be less restrictive than a cage. if you’ve read this and watched the video and have further questions, please feel free to post your questions here and we will answer them honestly.

If you live anywhere in Saint Charles County, and have a problem with Red Fox, we have the knowledge, training and equipment to resolve your problem. We’ve helped many homeowners in the area over the years by capturing and removing fox from their property, which were preying upon their chickens, ducks, outdoor cats, and even attacking small dogs.
Now is the time of year when the female fox are denning and raising their pups. We’ve had a few calls recently of fox dens under porches. Left unchecked, this usually leads to a flea infestation which spreads from under the porch into the living space of the home.
If you need help with a fox situation, message us or simply give us a call 636-233-2444
