Oak Park River Forest Youth Ultimate

OPRFYU Summer Girls Ultimate Movement (GUM) League is designed to give girl players more experience playing ultimate in a fun environment. Dynamic and fast-paced, ultimate will give you plenty of disc skills and help you keep in shape. All experience levels are welcome! GUM is inclusive of youth identifying as female, non-binary, gender fluid, transgender and/or using other self-identifying terms.

Each week, league supervisors will take into account each player’s skill level to make the teams as even as possible.

Calling All Volunteers!

OPRFYU is looking for a volunteer coordinator for the registration table at our clinics - some of the most valuable programs we have to give kids an introduction to Ultimate.

The volunteer need is simple:

* Recruit 3-4 volunteers to work the registration table at 3-4 clinics per year
* Help prepare a few predefined materials for use at the table * Arrive 30-40 minutes before each clinic to set up the table and begin registration
* Complete a few tasks for reporting each clinic’s roster to USA Ultimate (our clinic sponsor)

Spring 2025 Adult and High School Pickup Frisbee through the Park District of Oak Park

While this Spring's pickup frisbee opportunity has registration under Adult Sports Spring, play is open to adults and high school players 14+ (on the day of the activity).

Pickup play will run through the summer and fall in 6 week sessions.

This is a co-ed program, with teams forming every night for team play. We encourage great gameplay and spirit of the game.

If you are looking for a sport with great cardio and a fun time, this program is for you. Invite your friends and family to sign up, too.

SPRING PLAY
Chicago Union's Ultimate Disc league is open to youth players ages 8-11.
Be part of this fun, fast growing, non-contact sport unique in its emphasis on player leadership through self-officiating.

On league night, mixed-gender teams will have a short practice developing skills through activities like throwing accuracy games and partner catching.

League play is Mondays 5-7 PM at Anderson park

SUMMER CAMP
The Chicago Union is hosting its first-ever overnight Ultimate camp at their home campus, Northwestern University!
Campers will play Ultimate, enjoy a variety of activities, sleep in the dorms, and eat in the student dining hall.

All players entering 6th–12th grade are welcome! The camp is capped at 40 participants, with spaces reserved for girls and nonbinary players.

No previous experience in ultimate frisbee required! And our learn to complete clinic will be coached by elite players Chicago Union.

💀 Mwahhaha! Oak Park Middle Schoolers Gathered for OCThrowBERFEST 👻

On Saturday Oct 26, more than 50 players from Julian and Brooks Middle Schools gathered in Naperville for the annual OCThrowBERFEST.

Players from teams such as Dawn of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead and Return of the Living Dead hit the fields *alive* and in costumes to throw after sundown with glow-in-the-dark discs. It was a spooky good time!

The winning team was The Union Witch Project, who beat Naperville Ultimate's Joe's Gnomes to the death - er, finish. It was quite the THRILLER!
