The Oak Park Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Oak Park Community Center, 14300 Oak Park Blvd.
Commission members discuss and make decisions on matters related to parks, recreation programs and services that affect our community. Residents are encouraged to attend, share their perspectives and stay informed about recreation initiatives throughout the city.

Senior Market Day – Thursday, Sept. 17 🍓🌽👨‍👩‍👨‍👩‍👧

Join us at the Oak Park Farmers Market on September 17 from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. for Oakland County, Michigan's Senior Market Day.

Families with a Bridge, SNAP, or WIC card can receive a $5 fresh produce voucher.
Visit the community resource tent for health information, resources, and giveaways. Shop weekly market offerings, including fresh produce, baked goods, honey, teas, hot foods, and live music.

The market accepts SNAP/EBT, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Produce Connection, and Senior Market FRESH benefits. [Kids and seniors can participate in the Power of Produce program to earn rewards for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Mark your calendar for our annual Senior Market Day. Special resource vendors will be on site as well as special $5 food assistance vouchers for those seniors
that are 60 years of age and up and live in Oakland County, Michigan.

Cooking Demonstrations provided by Edible Wow🍳🥘. Stop by during market hours for a cooking demonstration from Edible Wow! Hear directly from the chef, and even get a taste. The Demo begins at 11 a.m.

🍑Learn to make your own peach freezer jam! 🍑
Join us at the Oak Park Farmers Market Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. for a demonstration on how to make your own peach freezer jam.
Michigan State University Extension Sophia Zollner will be on hand to demonstrate how to safely make peach freezer jam at home.
Giveaways will be provided to attendees.
