Troop 365 continued working toward their Horsemanship badge this week, and it was a session to remember! The scouts dove into learning all about horses, from their anatomy and behavior to the basics of proper care and handling.
Then came the best partβ¦getting their hands dirty! The scouts got up close and personal with Sassy and Bunny, putting their knowledge straight into practice. They learned to use different grooming brushes and even tackled hoof picking like pros.
For many of our scouts, this was their very first time being around a horse. Watching their faces go from nervous to confident was one of those moments that makes scouting so special.
Great work, Troop 365! Sassy and Bunny were in good hands. π€π

Watch out world! Troop 365 just got a little more dangerous! πͺπͺπͺ
Our Scouts proved they have the knowledge and respect to safely handle knives, saws, and axes. It is an earned privilege, and these Scouts worked hard for it.
Somebody better warn the firewood. πͺ΅π₯

Troop 365 is excited to welcome three new Scouts who recently bridged over from Pack 365 after earning their Arrow of Light. Leland, Carson, and Jacob!
We are so proud of the hard work each of them put in to reach this milestone, and we cannot wait to see all that they accomplish in Scouting America. Welcome to the troop, guys!

πβοΈ It was a fun and active Scout meeting tonight!
πΊπΈ We kicked things off with the flag ceremony and a big welcome to our newest member of the girl troop, Corrine. π£
π» Scouts used technology to connect with our Scoutmaster who is out of town, learning all about the Horsemanship Merit Badge and everything there is to know about horses. π΄
π₯ The night wrapped up with a fierce game of ultimate frisbee, full of passing, sprinting, and nonstop back and forth action. Lots of energy and lots of smiles all around! π

π Alpine Rock Climbing turned our troop into a full blown monkey exhibit.
Some scouts conquered the self rappelling kid walls. Others stared up the 55 foot walls and said, sure, why not, gravity is optional today. Over in the bouldering area, we had scouts climbing sideways, upside down, and occasionally inventing brand new moves that probably do not have names yet π§ββοΈ.
By the end of the day, there were chalky hands, tired arms, proud smiles, and a whole lot of monkey energy everywhere. π΅

πΊπΈ Wreaths Across America
Across the country, communities came together with one shared purpose, to remember and honor our veterans.
Troop 365 was honored to participate alongside many others. We took part in a ceremony at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery that included the color guard and the placing of wreaths, setting a tone of respect and gratitude.
π² After the ceremony, wreaths were placed on more than 900 veteransβ graves. Each name was spoken aloud, each grave was saluted, and each veteran was thanked for their service.
π No matter the location, the message was the same. We remember. We honor. We teach the next generation the value of service and sacrifice.

β Troop 365 had an unforgettable overnighter aboard the USS Pampanito. The scouts explored every corner of the historic submarine, including the torpedo room where they got to look right into the tubes!
They learned how cramped life was for the sailors who once served on board, then experienced it firsthand by sleeping in the original crew bunks. It was a night packed with history, adventure, and memories they will be talking about for a long time. π’β¨

π Troop 365 lit up the Christmas parade with big smiles, sharp uniforms, and tons of holiday spirit. They waved, handed out candy, and represented the troop with pride. A simple, joyful moment that showed the heart of this amazing group. π
Thank you to Mayor Cherilyn Bairos and A Small Town Christmas for a wonderful event!
