Today’s group was a great bunch of guys, the bite seem to be pretty early and we boated several fish then it became a losing game, for some strange reason, we just couldn’t get them to the net as they would come off halfway to the boat. They did turn it around and it ended up with 11 Fish, the opportunity of 20 Fish was there, but most importantly they were after some information on set up’s
Colors and many other aspects of
Fishing.
A great time was had by all.

Bob and Jeff had an excellent time as soon as we put lines down it wasn’t five minutes and we had our first Kokanee, we continued on while Bobs side of the boat started catching more fish than Jeff’s. Then we started marking more fish, and Jeff’s side of the boat quickly put back-to-back King salmon in the boat. We continued working the area for several trout that were let go,
We had a great assortment of kings KOKANEE and rainbows in our Fish bag, then all hell broke loose when Bobs side of the boat the Rod got hammered. It turned out to be a 7 pound king salmon 26 inches long. What an awesome awesome fish. Another three species fish day, biggest Kokanee was 16 1/2 inches nearing 2 pounds. This all happened by 11 o’clock this morning.

Here is my latest post from Don Pedro the last days with clients….
Thursdays trip with five guys started out slow with a big holdover rainbow trout, but wasn’t marking many fish, so decided to make a move, and did pay off, as we put a nice mix of Kokanee , rainbows and kings in the boat. The two kings were bookends that weighed four pounds each and our biggest Kokanee of the year so far that weighed two pounds.
What an awesome fish!
Fridays trip was all about Layton reeling in most of the fish, we had a mix of rainbows and Kokanee.
Saturdays trip started off very very slow, so we picked up and moved and after putting a couple fish in the boat we worked the area and the bite turned on for us, giving them a mix of trout, Kokanee and king salmon.

An incredible day today @ Don Pedro today.
Hardly anyone at the lake today. Conditions were near perfect with overcast skies a chop on the water and very by little rain.
Six Kokanee, seven rainbows and four king salmon, and they lost two kings one jumped and spit the lure and took it with him, the second was oh so close as it stayed deep and made some good runs, as it neared the boat just as I was getting close to putting in the net the fish rolled over and we could see it’s big underside and broke the leader!!!
It was way bigger than the four pounder we landed and the others…

Another great outing at Don Pedro today with Matt and his two boys. The bite was challenging and getting them to the net at times was also challenging. We still had a great time..
