Love what she had to say. Cook the protein ahead to last you the next few days so that they are there and ready to go. Keep the rest of your sides (veggies, fruits, carbs, etc.) on hand. Why? because cutting into the veggies, eliminates some of the nutrients so you want those to be as fresh as possible.

Late night meals....when you have no choice but to eat dinner at 9pm, make sure to choose your meal wisely. First, avoid carbs this late. My advice, trick your body into eating carbs. For example, spaghetti squash instead of pasta or in this case cauliflower rice instead of traditional rice. Not only do you get your veggies, but you fee like you're eating carbs. I paired it with turkey bolognese. So good!

Today's Shakeology Flavor is Strawberry with Frozen pineapple. It's Friday and fresh ingredients are dwindling in my house since j haven't been to the grocery store. I always keep frozen fruit in the freezer for this very reason. It's still fresh and they get frozen when they are perfectly ripe and in season so they are great for smoothies. Not to mention, no ice necessary for my Healthiest meal of the day.

Can't recommend this place enough. Got WAY behind on my veggies today so I decided to drink them instead. This is the Living Green Smoothie. It has all fresh Kale, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Apple, Pear, Ginger and Mint. Nothing processed and not near as many calories as Smoothie King (which is awful but that's for another post). What do you struggle on a daily basis to include in your diet??

I get that a lot of us work out or eat healthy to look good but the main reason should be to feel good. What you do today will affect you in the long run. Nobody wants to end up immobile or in a constant feeling of being uncomfortable at an old age. Make the changes now to avoid health concerns later.

. So confession...end of last year, I went into a dark place with my fitness and nutrition. I was severely over worked and didn't make time. I decided that this year I would never let that happen again. I officially wake up extra early on workout days. I'm not done with my program just yet. I still have another month and possibly an additional 30 days after that just to bulk up, but here is my progress so far. Not bad....I think lol.

Last night I had a long conversation with someone who was on the right track last year with their fitness goals but let it all go and ended off worse than when they started due to life circumstances. This person now has an entirely new outlook on life and is back better than ever. I saw this and thought of them. Please share with someone who may need to hear this short but meaningful quote.
