Allah The Guide: ⚔️ Living the General Orders: The Discipline of the FOI ✍🏽 By Brother Will Muhammad The Fruit of Islam is trained, disciplined, and mindful. Our General Orders are not just military instructions — they are a way of life. They keep us on point, like the angels of God, ever watchful, ever ready. ⸻ 📜 The 12 General Orders of the FOI: 1. Take charge of this post in all Temple property in view. 2. To walk my post in a perfect manner, keeping always on alert. 3. To report all violations of orders that I am instructed to enforce. 4. To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the Temple than my own. 5. To quit my post only when properly relieved. 6. To receive, obey, and pass on to the sentinel who relieves me, all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, or non-commissioned officer of the guard only. 7. To talk to no one except in the line of duty. 8. In case of disorder, give the alarm. 9. To allow no one to commit a nuisance on or near my post. 10. In any case not covered by instructions, call the guard. 11. To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased. 12. To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without proper authority. ⸻ 📖 Scripture that Bears Witness Bible: “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13) Holy Qur’an: “Surely Allah loves those who fight in His cause in ranks as if they were a solid wall.” (Qur’an 61:4) ⸻ 🌟 Reflection The FOI General Orders shape us into men who are mindful, disciplined, respectful, and alert. Not only at the mosque, but in every walk of life — at home, in the streets, and abroad. To live by the General Orders is to live a lifestyle of divine order.
