A sneak peak at the beautiful weekend that was had. It’s been a journey and while it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, I know another one will be waiting in the future, sometime, somewhere. My heart is full. I love these women and the community we create each time we retreat. 🫶Thank you for sharing your beautiful souls with me and with one another.

Typically once a year I need to take a mental break from my own programming, outsource it and just follow along as my own participant. I’ve been following the workouts since January and I’m really loving it! It’s also super helpful to have access to dumbbells and a cable machine while on vacation. was the start of me pairing vacation workouts almost 15 years ago! I always feel better after moving my body. Now this question tends to get some real big opinions….do you like to workout while on vacation?

I always feel better when I move my body, especially in a beautiful location! Enjoying my girlfriend time in Sea Ranch, and staying on top of my workouts. Plenty of resting, laughing and talking too 🫶😍🧘 Thankful for the owner’s dumbbells in the garage, and of course I travel with a kettlebell and band at all times. 🤣 Athena has other ideas of vacation.

I love being able to workout with my 15 year old, he’s become such a beast in the gym! Mama still knows best though and at least in the gym he listens to me 🤣 Listen for my feedback on his bench press 🤣I started working out with him when he was a baby in the stroller so fitness has been something he’s watched me do forever, and it’s been so great to have him join me!

A good program will target a muscle group from multi directions and angles. I’ve been loving focusing on my pull days which I code back, biceps and shoulders. Can you see a pattern with these progressions? 🤔💪

2 years ago today, my dad took his last breath. I was holding his hand and I watched his breath leave his body. I am grateful that I could be with him in his last moments, but mostly I am grateful that he can still be with me today and everyday. I see him mostly in the clouds, and today he did not disappoint. 2 years, 2 minutes. It doesn’t matter. Any minute with him gone feels empty. There’s a permanent hole in my heart, and I’m learning to live with it. My dad gave us the best day today, from start to finish. Thank you for that dad. 🙏 AHAKAPASAS

Two of my favorite tricep exercises! Thank you for the skull crusher shoulder opener idea! Everyone’s been a fan 🤣🙄💪 Two different directions of movement working the triceps in both the shortened and lengthened position.

Anytime I’m doing split squats, lunges, step ups or downs, or single leg deadlifts you can bet I’m holding onto something for some balance assistance! Sometimes all you need is a slight hold, and sometimes you might need a death grip 🤣, but adding in that element can be the way you get to your next progression! When I was rehabbing my knee I held on to my squat rack with both hands for bodyweight squats and lunges. It let me provide the additional support I needed to safely perform the exercises. Knee is all better, but I still hold on for unilateral work! This gives my back more support, my balance more support and allows me to pick up heavier weights! Using assistance isn’t cheating, it’s a tool to help you perform more safely and effectively!
