I’m off to an Indigenous Midwifery assistant training this week! I’m so grateful and feel blessed that I am able to do this training, to be in ceremony, learning indigenous birth ways from and with indigenous people. and the 🌊 trio reunited.

will be holding it down for the new parents and pregnant folks suring Monday’s classes and will teach Friday’s classes. Thanks also to our beloved baby holders in the postpartum classes. You make the new parents” practice possible. And thanks to the friends and family that’ll be taking over care of my fur babies and my home while I’m gone. In community, this Daughter of Samoa, Leonora Ilove’a Willis. May my ancestors bless me with their wisdom and guidance.

"I really do not know how I would have gotten my daughter out into the world without Leonora...

I took prenatal yoga classes with Leonora throughout my pregnancy and it was seeing her skills as a teacher and her perceptive and thoughtful approach to the mind-body connection that made me want to hire her as a doula to support my partner and I with the birth of our first child. I have zero regrets about that decision.

Leonora is an incredibly talented and intuitive practitioner and healer. I felt like during my labor she could sense what I needed better than I could myself. She was the one, of all of the people who were present at various times throughout the 50+ hours of labor and delivery, including nurses, the hospital midwife, my best friend and even my partner, who best new what to say and do, or to suggest something someone else could say or do, to meet me where I was at and to help me progress." - Daughter of Samoa Yoga Student & Doula Client

See you at Daughter of Samoa for weekly perinatal yoga offerings! ✨

Did you know perinatal yoga is powerful for your mental health?

Here's how:
🌊Calms your nervous system:
Breathwork + gentle movement = lower cortisol, less anxiety. Your mind and body will thank you.
💛 Builds resilience:
Mindfulness practices help you process the new feelings that come with pregnancy and new motherhood — so you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed.
🌸 Find your people:
You don't have to do this alone. Perinatal yoga brings together mamas who get it — reducing isolation and building real connection.
