At Daughter of Samoa, Leonora creates a space for connection, care, and community among pregnant people, new parents, and their support.

Classes and workshops are rooted in collaboration—with birthkeepers, educators, healers, and resource providers—offering support through the many transitions of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Imagine stepping into a yoga class surrounded by others in varying stages of pregnancy, checking in with one another, and being witnessed. It’s a protected, supportive space to connect with your body, your baby, and your journey into parenthood. Postpartum classes help gently guide new parents back into their bodies through movement, breath, and presence—with baby in arms, singing and stretching together.

These offerings support not only physical recovery, but emotional integration and nervous system balance. Whether you're preparing for labor or learning how to nourish yourself in early parenthood, these classes are a chance to tend to the moment you’re in—with curiosity, compassion, and community.

Daughter of Samoa is branching out in locations for a Yin Yoga + Soundbath experience!

Come to Crockett, Ca. 25 miles north of Oakland, Ca., original land of the Carquin indigenous peoples, one of the 8 distinct language tribes of the Ohlone and experience what is now, the small town vibe. We will meet at SolHaus, 1326 Pomona Street in Crockett ca 94525. This is a BIPOC, woman-owned micro-event space, owned and operated by Angelica O.

The Yin practice will focus on postures that tend to all chakra system, with a particular focus on the fire element and summer meridians of heart, pericardium, triple heater as well as small intestine. These meridian focus on areas of the heart center, upper back, neck, shoulders, skull for those who suffer from headaches, tight neck and shoulders. On the more subtle level, this meridians govern emotions, mental clarity, the circulatory system. The Yin class will be followed by a 45 minute soundbath savasana with Victoria Liu for a deep submersion in sound healing and connection.

Bring your mat and come early to set up a spot for yourself. We will have all necessary props there and extra mats if you do not have one. Dress comfortably, bring a friend, your water, and an open heart and mind.
