It's not an easy concept to grasp, but there's been enough research over the last 40 years for the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) to update their definition of "pain" to reflect that idea.

Breathing is very powerful. Most of the time, if our brains and bodies are healthy, we don’t think about it. But if your breathing is compromised, it can negatively effect your brain function and immune system. Not to mention potentially make you tighter, weaker and increase pain. In this video I share a simple exercise that you can do a few minutes a day to improve your breathing and help you feel less stressed!
