Inside Trail Racing (ITR) was founded to provide a competitive yet amateur-approachable race environment that challenges all abilities and presents the beauty of the varied West Coast trails. With distances from 5K to 100K, we are committed to serving every participant an ambitious, fun, and well-supported trail-running event. Our long-distance events rank amongst the most popular events in the country, attracting world champion mountain- and ultra-runners and delivering courses even more strenuous than The North Face Endurance Series. It is our mission to work within the trail-running community as a cooperative, encouraging entity upon whom both runners and hikers can depend.

Oakland Hills Trail Run is a week out!

Run through the majestic Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park of EB Parks. Tackle the 35K and get an extra tour of EBMUD & Kings Canyon.

This is a favorite for so many reasons the vert, the redwoods, the fern & mossy trails, the people! Oh the people!

There are still a few running spots remaining and volunteer spots looking to get filled.

It's Reservoir Dogs week!

Reservoir Dogs is a special one for us, the 35K circumnavigates the San Pablo Reservoir & Briones Reservoir, the first to do so on these beautiful EBMUD trails.

This year we brought back the 5K for the event and have distances of 5k, 10k, half marathon & 35k!

We have some volunteer spots to fill on Saturday. We could use some assistance at aid stations and the finish festival to bring the vibes!

Berkeley Trail Adventure this past weekend was an absolute delight!

The miles, the smiles and oh yes, TRAILS!

If you want a challenge but you still want to have a good time and feel supported, Berkeley Trail Adventure is just what you are looking for.

6,800'+ of elevation gain in the 50K, to far? 4,600' + of elevation gain in the 35k, want elevation but not the distance? How about 2,800' + in the Half Marathon?

Santa Cruz Trail Run

Yesterday turned into an absolute beauty! Course Records in the women's 10k 🎉

River crossings and speedsters in the half marathon and 30k. This race had it all and everyone out there gave it their all.
