Kuumba! Creativity!

While the drums have traditional rhythms and beats and breaks we follow, our drummers have each brought their own individual creative energy to the dance floor. We thank them, they provide the heartbeat of the dance. Asé

Nia!!! Purpose

What is the purpose of the African Queens? It goes beyond just dance. Ms. Carter's vision for the Queens was and still is to create a company that girls can be a part of to learn more about who they are, strengthen their self-esteem, and make a difference in their communities. She has done ALL that and more through generations of dancers!
