Hey fans of McClymonds High School, football fans, and fans of the accomplishments of our young people!
This Saturday, the California Division 4A Championship Football Game between McClymonds and Garfield from Los Angeles is set for 6:00 p.m. in the Laney College football stadium across from MetWest High School.
McClymonds, which is going for its third straight State Championship, is selling game tickets at school on Friday afternoon, 4:00-6:00 and Saturday afternoon, 12:00-2:00. Buying the tickets there will give the Oakland Athletic League a small cut, and allow you to enter the game more quickly than if you buy at the gate.
One additional note: this is the first of McClymonds' three championship games to take place in Northern California, and this one might as well be a home game being here in Oakland. Let's fill the stands!
