Oakland Renegades Dragonboat Team

The water was calm and sun was bright. Perfect for cranking up the practice for the upcoming races at Portland and Foster City 💪💪💪

We’ve got a mostly newbie boat this Saturday practice and the newbies gave the old timers a good run for the money!! 🐉🐉🐉

Not only the paddling looked sharp and impressive. The race pieces were mostly head to head!!💪💪💪

We all worked extra hard and had so much fun!!

Getting completely drenched seems to be a small price to pay when we got rainbow galore during the Tuesday practice! 🌈🌈🌈🌧️⛈️🌦️

Had to turn back early due to wind and rain but those who brave enough to come were rewarded with spectacular cloud and rainbow display. Never a bad time on the water!!!

Getting on the boat after being rained out last Saturday. We had to stay near the dock because of the wind and currents. That also means the paddlers got some heavy-duty strength training and our steerer-in-training Christine Schneider got some advanced experience under her belt. 💪💪💪

The return of Trivia Night was a huge success! The competitive spirit was in full display with a packed house. Alameda DragonFlyers and DragonMax teams proved to be tough competitors throughout the night! 👍👍👍

And true to form as a Renegades event, “We thought it was karaoke” was voted best team name!! 🤣🤣🤣
