Founded in 1994, the first Philadelphia Rock Gym was built by two college friends (Matt & Greg) who had a vision-to bring their passion and enthusiasm for climbing back to their hometown and to make a living doing what they loved. By taking the novel step of bringing climbing inside, they became one of the first indoor climbing centers in the US.

The 2026–2027 Burn Bouldering Series is here, and Philly Series Pass registration is officially OPEN.

Born right here in Philadelphia in 1996 with the original Midnight Burn, the Burn has spent more than three decades bringing climbers together to compete, progress, and throw down.

This year's Philly lineup:
🌙 Midnight Burn → Oct. 24 @ Oaks
❄️ Winter Burn → Dec. 5 @ Malvern
♥️ Heart Burn → Jan. 23 @ East Falls
🔥 Final Burn → Feb. 27 @ Wyncote

Our Back to School Climbing Membership Sale runs through September 11, which means students and kids can still join with a $0 JOIN FEE (regularly $49) + pro-rated dues.

Start the school year with more climbing, more movement and more time doing something you actually look forward to. 🙌

Stop by your local PRG before September 11 to join!

Offer valid in-gym only. $0 join fee (regularly $49) plus prorated monthly dues. Standard monthly billing begins on the 5th of each month. Students must be under 18 or provide valid proof of current enrollment. Membership terms and restrictions apply. See staff for details.
