Students often improve 10+ shots through Video, Best Drills & Aids, and his Demonstations. A U.S. Kids Certified Instructor, Mike has developed a great following due to his teaching methods that combine the theories of Ben Hogan, Lee Trevino, Bob Toski, and Moe Norman with the drills and repetition of the great basketball coaches of all time. Focusing on mastering the fundamentals, you will work on the putting stroke and learn how to read greens better, improve your chipping and pitching strokes, master bunker play, select the right club and shot on the course, and learn how to hit powerful drives. Mike will teach you how to achieve great rhythm and tempo while skyrocketing your overall golf IQ. Mike will teach you his secrets to better golf and better scores that allowed his top student to win 11 Virginia State and Middle Atlantic PGA tournament titles in 2015 and 22 events in the past 2 years. Mike has helped pros, weekend players, women, and juniors throughout the DC Metro area. Whether your goal in golf is breaking 100, 90, 80, improving a part of your game, or if you are just getting started, you are in good hands and Mike will set you on a path to succeed and mentor and teach you to reach your goal. He is an all around athlete who will use your athletic skill set to improve your swing. Mike focuses on communication and trust to develop a golfer. Mike graduated from the University of Georgia(BBA) and earned an MBA from Georgetown University. He has a 15 year old daughter named Lauren and lives in Potomac Falls, Virginia. My Video and Commentary of Blades Brown Playing his Second 18 in the Final Qualifying for the U.S. Open at Woodmont CC on Monday (June 8, 2026). Blades shot 69-69 (4 under) finishing as the 2nd alternate. Blades, a 19 year old from Nashville, is Golf's Next Star. The Medalist at both the U.S. Junior and U.S. Amateur, first time ever done, went from high school to turning professional. He shot 60 this year on the Nicklaus Course at PGA West during The Amex on the PGA Tour. Finishes at the Myrtle Beach Classic and CJ Cup have provided him temporary status thid year on tour. His ballstriking is superb. His short game is above average and has good touch. I don't usually walk 18 to follow one golfer, but Blades surpassed my expectations. Loved the sound of his impact. Never seen a golfer with better 9 to 3 positions and release. A Star! .
