OCC-Ocala Cornhole Crew

Monday night at the Moose!!!! First night with the computer and tablets was ok, we had a few hiccups but thanks to Harry Wheeler and Aaron Karaban we worked through them and then all the tablets died, lol. All good we just used our phones. The winner of the 3 game round robin with 72 points was Brian and the winners of the double elimination were Bob and Mike Burdette . Brenda Andrews and Laura Leeson took 2nd. Now to cover a few things. First and foremost thank you to all of you for being patient as we worked through the new set up. I know I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. We here at the Ocala Co****le Crew and the Moose lodge are not Pros . We come to have a good time with friends and family. It's not our fault if you have a bad night or get a beginner player as a partner.It is what it is but instead of being a poor sport about it try helping the new players out and promoting good sportsmanship. We want everyone to enjoy the sport and have a good time. I've had multiple players tell me that that is why they don't come back and it's unacceptable. When it comes to the round robin tournaments throw your bags to the best of your ability, I understand that everyone can have an off night but if you have to sandbag to put yourself in the lower bracket just to get a good partner for the blind draw that's pretty sad. So far everyone has been good so if you're thinking about it or trying to manipulate the points don't do it. See y'all next Monday.

Monday night at the Moose!!! Mike Burdette hit 2 bags in the throw for hole for $136. We tried something different tournament wise and as I suspected there would be some snafoos that would need tweeking. Next week we will play 3 games then a double elimination. If we have an odd number of teams the odd team that round will play the first team to win which that team will not earn more points they will just be pacing for the odd team. That should fix everything. Tournament winners were Logan Payton and Mike B. 2nd Jeff Grant and Bo Gores

Toy's for Tots Co****le tournament, social and competitive divisions. Both are blind draw and are $15 plus an unwrapped toy per person to enter. $10 goes to the payout and $5 to the FCCD. Indoors at the Moose Lodge in Belleview next door to Mojo's. BBQ trailer on site as well as a full liquor bar. December 10th, sign up starts at 10am bags fly at noon.

Join us in Jacksonville October 29th. Practice starts at 10:30. $30 a person for competitive blind draw and $10 for social.
