Raiders only pay the minimum ($1.3M) in 2026

Atlanta covers the rest of the $10M guarantee

Cousins gets a fully guaranteed $20M roster bonus next March (no offset)

Then a team option for two more years at $80M

Bottom line:

Raiders get Cousins for basically $11.3M in 2026 while Cousins pockets $20M for the year.

That’s an insane bargain for a proven veteran who already knows Kubiak’s system from their Minnesota days. It gives Doza the exact bridge Kubiak wanted, a smart, high-IQ QB who can run the offense efficiently in Year 1 while the rookie learns behind him without carrying the whole franchise.
