⚓️ Predicted Log “Chapter 1” Kicks Off the Season! ⚓️

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in OCYC’s first Predicted Log event of the 2026 season! Fourteen skippers took to the water to navigate “A Whale’s Tale of 3 Bridges” course, enjoying perfect weather and ideal tides for an early June day.

🎸 Last Saturday night’s Rock and Roll Night at OCYC was the perfect finale to our off-season entertainment! It’s all thanks to our incredible off-season entertainment chair Brigid Caricich! All winter long she kept the good times rolling, and she closed out the season by absolutely electrifying us. 🤘⚡

⚓️✨ Introducing the OCYC Young Adults Crew (YAC)! ✨⚓️

This time last Sunday we kicked off the inaugural Burgee Bash under the tent and what a fantastic start it was! 🎉

Designed for our OCYC members over 21. The Young Adults Crew (YAC) is all about bringing the next generation of OCYC together through friendship, fun, sailing, social events, and making the most of club life both on and off the water. ⛵️🍹🌊

A special thank you to YAC Chairperson Paige Propp Hextall for doing an outstanding job organizing and launching this exciting new group. The energy, enthusiasm, and turnout made it clear that the future of OCYC is bright!

From watch parties and social gatherings to sailing adventures and club traditions, there’s something for everyone. If you’re between 21 and 35ish we invite you to join the crew and be part of the fun.

Here’s to new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the next generation of OCYC! ⚓️✨

☔️Rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of Opening Day at the Ocean City Yacht Club as we proudly launched our 125th season! ⚓️🇺🇸

From the traditional flag raising ceremony and cannon salutes to the beautiful National Anthem performed by Hadly Patterson the evening honored the rich history and traditions that make OCYC so special. We were honored to welcome Mayor Jay Gillian, representatives from the United States Coast Guard, city officials, community leaders, members, as we officially cut the ribbon to declared the club open for the 125th season.

In a special moment of recognition as all Past Commodores were introduced, celebrating their leadership and lasting contributions to OCYC. PC Tom Subranni then offered a beautiful blessing to open the season.

A heartfelt remembrance of members we lost this past year was led by Eleanor Parker. This was followed by a moment of silence with Tim Boyle ringing the bell eight times in honor of the traditional “eight bell” tribute.

Members also enjoyed gathering in the newly refreshed Commodores Lounge. A beautiful new space to relax and reconnect for the summer season. A special thank you to Steve Becotte for the stunning handcrafted sign created especially for the new Commodores Lounge.

The celebration continued with delicious food prepared by Nobil by the Bay and great music by Plaid Salmon. It was great reconnecting and dancing after a long cold winter. 🌊☀️

✨🇺🇸⚓️What a way to begin the 125th season at the Ocean City Yacht Club! 🇺🇸⚓️✨ This past Saturday was a true reflection of the energy, dedication, and hospitality that make our club so special.
Our steward and the incredible team at Nobil by the Bay hosted a beautiful wedding celebration at the OCYC. Then without missing a beat they jumped into their vans and headed to the Music Pier where they proudly served over 600 Ocean City High School juniors and seniors for an unforgettable prom evening by the ocean. An amazing accomplishment and testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff!
This weekend the team is right back at it preparing a delicious Friday night dinner menu, a modified buffet, and light fare offerings as we welcome members and guests back to the club.
✨ There’s still time to make your dinner reservations for tonight but do it NOW!
🥂 Our Rear Commodore will also host a special Sunset Toast featuring a very special surprise as we officially kick off the summer season!
Tomorrow more than 300 members will gather to celebrate Opening Day and the official start of the 125th season of the Ocean City Yacht Club. We can’t wait to kick off another unforgettable summer on the bay! ☀️
