Took out the boat after trouble-shooting a steering issue. Seems like steering is all good. (😁) Next, the ocean was supposed to be flat and wind 5mph. ( It was choppy with a swell and wind was more like 12-15 mph.) In a matter of a few minutes of dropping, I boated two small weakfish. When I was a kid, these fish were abundant and 20”.

So much fun, today! It was a CLASSIC late Summer fishing trip! All kinds of action: Bluefish, Kingfish, Croakers and False Albacore!! (Hard to believe this was just a three hour trip.)🐟🎣🎉

This is exactly how I wanted to end Summer 2026’s charter fishing season! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯🙌🎣🐟
We had a great crew and caught a bunch of fish!!!
Will the catching continue? Sure, unless temps suddenly drop and/or a big storm hits. We’ll be trying some new trips, soon: River Perch, River-Stripers and Bridge-Togging.

Fun crew and lots of catching, today! First, we ventured out into the ocean and almost immediately started catching Croakers…w/Bluefish following them up to the surface. Then, we hit the inlet and caught Black Sea Bass after bass. Throw in a flounder and Kingfish, too. Great trip! 🙌💯🐟🎣😁

September’s an awesome month to take the family out fishing!!! It’s quieter. Weather is not as hot. Conditions are great! And, the bite is usually awesome!!! Try September fishing, you won’t regret it!! 🐟🎣💯

Set out yesterday for a short trip and 18’ of water seemed to be the sweet spot! Lots of action and fun! These top/bottom rigs are the best!

When you fish deep sea, you’re dealing with a lot of hard work, long hours, lack of sleep, tough conditions and a lot of personalities. A sense of humor and thick skin is required. There’s always teasing…like back in high school. “Rick” gaffed my fish and was ready to put him in the icebox, so I asked him to hold it up for a pic while the Mahi-Mahi still had its’ brilliant colors. A big mistake (😆). “Rick” (and rest of the crew) claim “Rick” caught the Mahi, now. So, I’m getting Mahi memes since Wednesday. (Thanks AI!!!) This topic will run for weeks, maybe months. Lol! It’s team building…toxic masculinity style.
