On Saturday, July 25th, there's one aid station you won't want to run past. A big thank you to Raising Cane's for supporting the South Bay 24 Hour and keeping our runners fueled with fresh brewed sweet tea and lemonade from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
After hours of loops, a cold cup of sweet tea or lemonade can make all the difference, and we're grateful to have Raising Cane's helping take care of our runners during one of the biggest weekends of the season.
Be sure to stop by, grab a drink, and thank the Cane's team for being part of the South Bay 24 Hour. We couldn't do it without partners like them.

The South Bay 24 Hour isn't just for ultrarunners. This year we're adding two new ways to be part of one of the most fun race weekends of the year.
The South Bay Social is perfect for runners and walkers who want to experience the event without the pressure of racing. Come out for some trail miles, meet new people, cheer on the runners, and enjoy the atmosphere. Every participant receives a finisher medal. Space is limited to just 50 participants.
Looking to complete the South Bay Trifecta, but not quite ready for the 12 Hour or 24 Hour? The Hefty Half is for you. At 15.86 miles, it's the perfect middle ground and earns you the third medal needed to complete the trifecta.
If you've been curious about South Bay, this is your chance to join the fun. Spots are limited, so grab yours before they're gone.

๐ ERS Friday Trailhead: San Clemente Canyon
Tucked away in the middle of San Diego, San Clemente Canyon is one of those trails that surprises people the first time they run it. Just minutes from the city, the noise fades away and you're surrounded by trees, creek crossings, and miles of winding dirt trails.
The trail system offers a little bit of everything, including smooth dirt paths, flowing singletrack, rolling climbs, shaded canyon sections, and a few creek crossings to keep things interesting. It's a great place for easy recovery runs, weekday training, or linking together longer routes when you want to add some miles.

It's one of those trails you'll find yourself coming back to again and again, especially when you're looking for shade and a break from the busier trail systems around San Diego. Grab a friend, explore a new route, and enjoy one of San Diego's hidden gems.

Weโre excited to welcome Strive Soda to the ERS family as our newest sponsor!
Strive is a hydration soda made for people who like to move. Each can combines bold soda flavor with electrolytes and organic wildflower honey, giving you something cold and refreshing to look forward to after the miles are done.
Youโll get a chance to try Strive at ERS events this season, so make sure you grab a can, kick back with your trail friends, and let us know which flavor is your favorite. We have a feeling these are going to hit pretty well after a few hours on the trails. ๐๐ฅค
Welcome to the family, Strive Soda! Weโre stoked to have you along for the season.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT ๐ฆ
After taking four years away from running, Danielle () found her way back in May 2025 and discovered a love for the trails along the way. Being outside in nature drew her in, but seeing complete strangers support and encourage each other is one of the things that keeps her coming back.
Her favorite ERS race is the Black Mountain Half Marathon. She loves the challenge of taking it on each time and the feeling of finally crossing that finish line after everything the course throws at her.
Her advice for anyone thinking about signing up for an ERS race is simple. ""Itโs worth the challenge and the feeling you get when you push yourself.""
Weโre glad you found your way back to running and into the ERS family, Danielle! ๐

Happy Birthday to ERS Ambassador and Santa Mujeres Run Club leader Virginia ()! ๐
Virginia is one of those people who makes the trail community feel a little more welcoming just by being part of it. Through , she helps bring runners together, encourages people to try new trails, and creates a space where friendships are built one run at a time.
As an ERS Ambassador, Virginia is always showing up, supporting other runners, sharing her love for the trails, and bringing her community along for the adventure. Weโre lucky to have her as part of the ERS family and love seeing the impact she continues to make in the San Diego running community.
Happy Birthday, Virginia! We hope your day includes good trails, plenty of laughs, and your favorite people by your side. Show her some birthday love in the comments. ๐๐
