Not everyone starts their running journey by signing up for a race. For Virginia (), it started with hiking. Time spent on the trails eventually turned into running, and running opened the door to an incredible community of people who share a love for being outside.

As the Co-Founder of Santa Mujeres Run Club (), she’s discovered that some of the best parts of trail running happen before and after the run. The conversations, friendships, encouragement, and sense of belonging keep her coming back week after week.

Thank you Virginia for sharing your story and passion for trail running with others.

🌎 Happy Global Running Day!

Somewhere today, someone is heading out for their very first mile. Someone else is chasing a PR. Someone is training for a 5k, a marathon, a 100 miler, or simply getting outside for a little fresh air after a long day. That's one of the things we love most about running. It doesn't care where you started, how fast you are, or what your goals look like. It just asks you to take the next step.

At Endurance Race Series, we're grateful for the thousands of runners who have joined us on the trails over the years. The early morning starts, the finish line celebrations, the aid station volunteers, the friendships made on course, and all the miles in between are what make this community so special.

Get outside, enjoy some miles, and celebrate the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other.

What are you running today?

🌄 ERS Friday Trailhead: Double Peak

If you’ve ever wanted a trail that gives you a solid climb without needing to drive deep into the mountains, Double Peak delivers. Rolling dirt roads, quick punchy climbs, and views from the summit that never get old. This spot is a favorite for sunrise runs, hill repeats, and those days when you only have an hour but still want to feel like you got a real trail day in. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the ocean from the top.

📍 Main access Double Peak Park
🏃‍♂️ 3–10+ mile route options

Bring water, bring a friend, and don’t be surprised if your “easy run” turns into stopping for photos at the top.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT 🔦

This one is for the runners who remind us what trail running is really about.

Meet Gerald Worrell (), 45 years old and happiest when he’s out on the trails away from electronics, traffic, and the nonstop noise of everyday life. His favorite ERS trail race is Dixon Lake, especially the top section where the trails open up and you can really take in the area.

When we asked Gerald about his pre-race ritual, his answer was perfect, “Show up.” No complicated routine or superstition. Just lace up and get out there. Gerald also shared that one of the reasons he keeps coming back to the Endurance Race Series is the people. Friendly runners, welcoming vibes, and races that are always well organized.

We’re stoked to have you in the community, Gerald!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have given us the freedom to gather as a community, explore the trails we love, and share unforgettable experiences together.

At the Endurance Race Series, our trail community is built on support, perseverance, and showing up for one another, values that reflect the spirit of those who served. From chasing a PR, hiking your first trail, or cheering on friends at the finish line, we’re grateful to share these miles with such an incredible community.

As a thank you to our runners and in honor of Memorial Day, we’re offering 15% OFF ALL ERS races with promo code: HONOR15

This special offer is good for today only, so grab your spot while you can. No matter which race you choose, we’re ready for another season of early mornings, dirt miles, hard climbs, and good people out on the trails.
