🌴Welcome to the Beach, Demarcus Griffin-Taylor!

The Southern California native comes to San Diego after finishing his collegiate career at Louisiana Tech, where he started all 13 games in 2024, recording 55 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 5 pass breakups, and 2 fumble recoveries. He also made an impact on special teams, returning 23 kickoffs for 583 yards, averaging 25.3 yards per carry.

A former Houston Cougar, Griffin-Taylor earned All-Conference USA honors in both 2023 and 2024, bringing experience, versatility, and proven production to our defense.

🌴Welcome to the Beach, Daylen Baldwin.

We are adding NFL and CFL experience to the receiving corps with the signing of Daylen Baldwin.

The 6’3” wide receiver spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Calgary Stampeders in 2025. In his NFL debut with Cleveland, Baldwin caught both of his targets for 25 yards. Most recently with Calgary, he recorded 6 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Before going pro, Baldwin played at Morgan State, Jackson State, and Michigan. At Jackson State, he earned SWAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-SWAC honors, leading the conference with 540 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns in just six games. He later helped Michigan win the 2021 Big Ten Championship, finishing the season with 17 receptions for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Baldwin brings size, speed, and professional experience to San Diego as we continue building our offense for 2027.

Welcome back to the Beach, Jalani Jefferson.

After making his mark with the San Diego Strike Force this season, the Murrieta native returns to Southern California following a standout collegiate career at UT Permian Basin.

The 6’1” defensive back was a two-time First-Team All-Lone Star Conference selection (2024, 2025) and earned Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2025. During his final season at UTPB, Jefferson recorded 22 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, an interception and five pass breakups.

Now, he’s back where it started on the West Coast, ready for what’s next.

🌴Welcome to the Beach, Deshawn Lynch.

We’re adding a 6’5”, 300-pound defensive lineman out of the University of Washington with a 6’10” wingspan and the versatility to make an impact across the defensive front.

During his time with the Huskies, Lynch ranked No. 2 among FBS non-defensive backs with 7 pass deflections, while adding an interception returned 57 yards, a forced fumble, fumble recovery, sack, and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Before Washington, Lynch made his mark at Sacramento State, recording 34 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks during the 2023 season.

With his length, athleticism, and ability to disrupt both the passing and running game, Lynch brings another physical presence to the Strike Force defense.

Coming off his time with the St. James GOATS, Marshall brings size, physicality, and professional experience to the receiving corps.

The former Lenoir-Rhyne standout recorded 487 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. In 2023, he averaged an impressive 17.9 yards per reception, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make big plays downfield.

A physical target with big-play potential, Marshall adds another dimension to the Strike Force offense.

🌴WELCOME TO THE BEACH, KEY’SHAWN SMITH!

From Lincoln High School to the University of Miami, SMU, and the NFL, the San Diego native is bringing his talents back home.

A former standout at Lincoln High School, Smith helped lead the Hornets to a 2018 CIF San Diego Section Division II Championship. During his senior season, he recorded 46 receptions for 808 yards and eight touchdowns, earning recognition as a three-star recruit.

Smith continued his career at the University of Miami before transferring to SMU, finishing his collegiate journey with 105 receptions, 1,571 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. His speed and versatility also made him a dangerous kick returner.

Following college, Smith earned opportunities in the NFL, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders and later joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2025.

Now, the wide receiver returns to the city where it all started, bringing experience, speed, and another weapon to our offense.
