was established in 2009 to provide sailing and motorboat charters to individuals and private groups who are interested in a low-cost, high quality boating experience. Presently, we have two 36 ft. luxury sailing vessels permanently berthed in Oceanside Harbor and a 24 foot trailerable motor vessel that is available for whale watching adventures, harbor cruises or local fishing excursions for up to 6 persons. In addition to the myriad of charter services we currently provide, we also offer our services to individuals who wish to scatter the cremated remains of their loved one(s) at sea. You will find that our prices are very competitive and we provide a high degree of compassion, dignity and professionalism to all of our customers. The owner of P.M.C., William DeLuna, is a recently retired, local law enforcement officer and currently has over 35 years of boating experience. We take great pride in our operation and we will make every effort to ensure that our service to you and your clients go well above and beyond the industry standard. Sailing today on a starboard tack, scooting along at about 4.5 knots in the light morning winds. Notice the heel of La Bella Vita, leaning slightly toward port (left)? To someone who isn’t familiar with sailing, that little bit of lean might cause some concern,but it’s perfectly normal. In fact, the boat is designed to do just that. Far below the waterline is a solid steel keel weighing thousands of pounds, providing stability and keeping the old girl upright as the wind hits the sails. For sailors, that heel is a great feeling. It means the sails are full, the boat is moving, and La Bella Vita is doing exactly what she was built to do. Captain Glenn and I love it!

We enjoyed several charters this week with a great mix of guests, including a group of 70+ ladies celebrating a birthday, a corporate group from Texas here for a relaxing week, and a wonderful local family taking advantage of this beautiful weather. The dolphins even stopped by to visit us on most of our trips, which always makes the experience a little more special! Everyone had a great time which is obvious by their smiles.

A few highlights from our charters this past week. We enjoyed some great days on the water, beautiful conditions, plenty of laughs, and wonderful memories made with our guests. There were also some bittersweet moments, as we had the honor of taking families out on the water to say their final goodbyes to loved ones.
Every trip is a little different, but each one reminds us how fortunate we are to share the ocean and these special moments with so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who joined us this week. Hope to see you all again soon.

Yesterday was a truly special day aboard the La Bella Vita!
During a sunset sail along the Oceanside coastline, Young surprised his girlfriend, Jessica, with a very special question. Jessica thought they were simply heading out for an afternoon sail before dinner but little did she know her life was about to change! And the best part? She said YES! We feel fortunate to be a part of these unforgettable moments and to witness the beginning of a life together. Congratulations, Young and Jessica! Thank you for letting us be part of your special day. We wish you both many happy and healthy years together!

Our guests, who were celebrating three recent birthdays, thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular sunset we experienced in Oceanside two days ago. To make the evening even more special, we spotted a small pod of dolphins, truly the perfect “icing on the cake”! Thank you Jackie and Debrah, hope it was a memorable trip.

One of the great things about being part of the charter community here in Oceanside Harbor is knowing that we can count on one another when needed. As captains, we are legally limited to six passengers per vessel, so when a group exceeds that number, it often takes a little teamwork to make it happen. Today was a perfect example. Our friend and fellow captain, Bryan Wells of Wind and Water Sailing Charters, booked a charter for 12 guests, so we joined forces and took half of the group aboard the La Bella Vita. These great photos of the La Bella Vita from today’s charter were taken by Captain Wells as we sailed together off the coast of Oceanside. We also work closely with another good friend and colleague, Captain Les George of Pacific Coast Sail Charters. Whether one of us has a large group, needs an additional vessel, or could simply use a helping hand, we know we can count on each other. I have also included photos of Captain Wells vessel, "Gaviota" and Captain Les' vessel, "Obsession" during our double charters.
