We obviously came into this competition much stronger than the past, but truthfully not as strong as we wanted to be. The biggest achievement we had on that day though came between the misses. In the end, she needed to believe in herself. There wasn’t much of any other limit besides doubt or fear & I made it a point for her to understand it wouldn’t serve her. She can feel what she wanted to feel for a minute or two, but she still had another attempt or lift, and any negative emotions towards a miss won’t do any good. Those small glimpses are going to be crucial to her confidence moving forward.
In the end, I am still very proud of her for the performance & dealing with hiccups in the session. The day wasn’t perfect, but we got what we needed out of it in the end.
You committed to this process, learning, & building as much as possible. It has been a blessing to be your coach. LET’S BUILD.

All in all, this was a sweet competition. Though we fell short of qualifying for 2027 Nationals, this was by far our strongest performance to date.
After Georgia, we hammered standards & left no stone unturned. We proved that we deserved every pound on that platform, but we also realized hard work promises nothing on the day. So we are going back to the drawing board with a lot of the bones of the work intact, just with minor alterations.
You are such a diligent worker and a model athlete. It is always a pleasure.
The QT will fall. It is inevitable.
