An absolutely killer back day out of 's gym. After a good ole deadlift party we did everything for back we could think of. This wasn't even everything we did. Everytime I train with someone else I realize how great it is to lift with someone on or above your level who can push you more than you can alone.

Some back work from the week. Here's all my favorite movements minus the BB row. Since adding more intensifiers to my lifts (drop sets, cluster sets, rest pauses, etc) I've had to step up my recovery game significantly. But it's been worth it, feeling semi-strong for the first time in years.

2025, the year I took the leap going all in on coaching. It was filled with much fatigue, stress and lots of deadlifting. But I come out the other side equipped with so much more knowledge than ever before and the confidence that my body can do some pretty wild things even as inconsistent and detrained as I have been. Maybe it's time to come out of retirement. Excited to take what I've learned and see what I'm capable of with another year. Provided the AI-pocalypse doesn't take me in my sleep..

Holiday week starting off great with some crusty a*z squats, a weak sauce but painful leg day and a little pushy push work to round it off. First time taking over 500 lbs straight weight in months and my busted quad was not happy about it; But it got with the program eventually.

Leg day from the North Pole (It's 78 degrees). I'm still weak as a kitten, but trying desperately to take the sets to failure. My chicken legs are not happy. I haven't done my annual playthrough of Bloodborne though and I'm suffering from withdrawals.
