Set the tone for your week by doing the thing you keep saying you’re going to do.‼️🗣️

Start the workout.

Prep the meals.

Take the walk.

Drink the water.

Go to bed earlier.

Make the appointment.

Stop waiting for the “perfect” time to finally start taking care of yourself.

Every time you follow through on a promise you made to yourself, you build confidence and momentum. 📈

You don’t need to change everything this week.

Just prove to yourself that when you say you’re going to do something…you DO IT. 💪

Start today and let that momentum carry into the rest of your week.

What’s ONE thing you’ve been saying you’re going to do that you’re finally doing this week? ⬇️

Coach V.

Fitness is how many women (just like me) quietly rebuild themselves.
Fitness is how you turn a hard season into a stronger one.
How you prove to yourself that you can keep going when keeping going takes everything out of you.

At some point there is a shift, it it’s just about the weight, the calories or show date.
It becomes the place you can go to clear your head.
The place where you keep promises to yourself.
The place where you feel strong again.

Fitness builds your body, but it also rebuilds your confidence and self worth.

For a long time, I thought getting “in shape” meant changing how my body looked.

Now I care so much more about what this body lets me do.

Move my body during lifts.
Carry the groceries.
Dance with people I love.
Travel.
Serve.
Show up with energy.
Say yes when God calls me somewhere new.

I don’t want fitness to make me obsessed with my body.

I want it to help me live more of the life God gave me. 🤍

That’s the kind of strength I’m building now — and it’s becoming a huge part of what I’m building for you here.

if you want fitness to feel like this too, reach out.

The “Performance Mindset” was killing me…

I’m realizing how uncomfortable rest can feel when you’ve spent so long believing your worth is tied to how much you can carry.

I prayed for peace.
I prayed for room to breathe.
I prayed for God to slow my heart down.

Then life got quieter… and I started wondering if something was wrong.

Maybe nothing is wrong.

Maybe God is teaching me that I don’t have to earn rest, rush through every slow season, or constantly prove that I’m still moving forward.

Maybe this is what answered prayer looks like. 🤍

Maybe you’re not lazy, unmotivated, or “bad at consistency.”

Maybe you’re just tired of trying to carry everything by yourself.

I know what it feels like to pray, try harder, start over, and still wonder, **“God, why does this feel so hard?”**

But I’m learning that growth doesn’t always require more pressure. Sometimes it requires support, grace, and a plan that actually meets you where you are.

You were never meant to become stronger by constantly beating yourself down. 🤍

And that’s a huge part of why I’ve been building what I have. Beauty from Ashes ; Faith. Form. Focus.

8 WAYS THE ENEMY MAY BE SABOTAGING YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY 👀

1. MAKE YOUR BODY YOUR IDENTITY.
If your worth rises and falls with your weight, appearance, or progress, the scale becomes a scoreboard for your value.
📖 Psalm 139:14

2. TURN STEWARDSHIP INTO IDOLATRY.
Taking care of your body is good. Worshiping it isn’t. Fitness can quickly become something you serve instead of something you steward. 📖 Exodus 20:3

3. USE SHAME AS MOTIVATION.
“You let yourself go.” “Work it off.” “You’re not good enough.”
Shame says punish yourself. Grace calls you back to faithfulness. 📖 Romans 8:1

4. TRAP YOU IN ALL-OR-NOTHING THINKING.
Missed a workout? Quit the week. Ate off plan? Blow the day. One imperfect decision becomes permission to abandon faithfulness. 📖 Galatians 6:9

5. MAKE COMPARISON YOUR STANDARD.
You stop stewarding your body because you’re too busy trying to build hers. Don’t despise what God entrusted to you while staring at what He gave someone else. 📖 Galatians 6:4–5

6. CONVINCE YOU DISCIPLINE = RESTRICTION.
Culture says telling yourself “no” is toxic. Scripture calls self-control fruit of the Spirit. Not every desire deserves obedience.
📖 Galatians 5:22–23

7. KEEP YOU CHASING QUICK FIXES.
Anything to avoid patience, consistency, and the process. But maybe God is doing more in the waiting than simply changing your body. 📖 James 1:4

8. GET YOU OBSESSED WITH YOUR BODY WHILE NEGLECTING YOUR SOUL.
Protein tracked. Workout done. Steps hit. Calories perfect.
Bible closed. Prayer nonexistent. Heart starving.

THAT’S THE TACTIC.

The enemy doesn’t necessarily need you to quit fitness.

He’d be perfectly content watching you become incredibly disciplined with your body while completely distracted from God.

Your fitness journey isn’t another place to prove your worth.

It’s a place to practice stewardship, surrender, self-control, gratitude and faithfulness.

🔥 Train the body. Steward the body. But never let the body become your god.

09/15/2026

I’ve realized lately that almost everything in my life looks like that last rep in the gym.

You’ve already done the work.

Rep after rep.
You showed up.
You pushed.
You hurt.
You kept going.

And then you get to the end. The goal you originally set has already been met. Nobody would blame you for putting the weight down. Hell, nobody would even know the difference. And that’s when the most important question creeps into your head:

Can I do ONE more?

That question has almost nothing to do with the weight. It’s an internal decision about the kind of person you want to become. Because technically, you’ve done enough.

You can check the box.
You can say you finished.
You can walk away knowing you accomplished exactly what you came to accomplish.

So what the hell is one more rep going to change?

EVERYTHING.

Because that last rep isn’t about building muscle. It’s about building the person underneath it. It’s the moment you decide that “good enough” isn’t where you want to live. I’ve seen this play out everywhere in my life.

Recovery.
Faith.
Motherhood.
Relationships.
My career.
My health.
My own personal growth.

Some of the biggest changes in my life came AFTER I had already done enough to justify stopping.

One more uncomfortable conversation.
One more prayer when I didn’t understand what God was doing.
One more day of keeping a promise to myself.
One more chance to love differently.
One more look in the mirror when it would’ve been easier to blame somebody else.

ONE. MORE. REP.

There’s always an excuse to put the weight down.

I’m tired.
I’ve been through enough.
I’ve already accomplished a lot.
Nobody expects more from me.
My life is already pretty damn good.

And maybe it is. But I’ve learned something about myself:

I never want “good enough” to become the place where I unpack my bags. Not because I’m ungrateful for what I have. I’m incredibly grateful. But gratitude and growth can live in the same house.

I can thank God for where He’s brought me while still asking Him to show me where I’m capable of going next. That last rep is where nobody is watching.

No applause.
No trophy.
No recognition.

Just you deciding whether you’re satisfied with what you’ve already become… or curious enough to find out what happens if you push a little further.

That’s life to me.

You don’t become great because you did what was required. You become great because when you had every acceptable reason to stop… you chose one more rep.

So maybe the question isn’t whether your life is good.

Maybe the question is:

Is “good” enough for you… or do you have one more rep in you?

There’s a version of me who believed every setback meant I needed to try harder.

More discipline. More restriction. More pressure.

And when my body didn’t respond the way I wanted, I made it mean something was wrong with **me**.

I wish more people knew this: you do not have to hate yourself into becoming healthy.

You can pursue strength from a place of gratitude. You can care for your body without making it your identity. And you can want growth without believing who you are today isn’t enough. 🤍

That’s the kind of health I want people to experience — and what Beauty For Ashes stands for.

Keeping promises to myself & the Lord seriously.

Not because discipline makes me more worthy.
Not because a workout earns me His love.
Not because my body is my god.

But because this body, this time, this life?
It was entrusted to me.

So yeah—I take showing up seriously.
I take discipline seriously.
I take doing the hard thing when I don’t feel like it seriously.
I take stewarding what God gave me seriously.

Because I’m done calling every uncomfortable thing “restriction” and every act of discipline “toxic.”

Sometimes it’s not punishment.
Sometimes it’s obedience.
Sometimes it’s keeping the promise you made when nobody is watching.

Grace doesn’t make me lazy. Grace reminds me Who I’m living for. 🔥

Stewardship. Seriously.

Coach V.
