๐ Why do we do 108 Sun Salutations for the Autumn Equinox? โ๏ธ
~As day and night balance out during the equinox, many yogis gather to move through 108 rounds of Sun Salutations.
~Shifting Seasons: The equinox is a natural pause point. The fiery, internal heat built during this practice detoxifies, grounds us, and stirs up stuck energy.
~Letting Go: Just as trees release their leaves, this moving meditation helps us sweat out the old and make space for whatโs next.
๐But why the number 108?
~A Sacred Number: In yoga and Vedic tradition, 108 is a number of spiritual completion, wholeness, and connection to the universe.
*~Energy Lines: Yogic tradition says there are 108 nadis (energy pathways) converging in the body.
โ๏ธ๐Remember: You donโt have to do all 108, and your practice doesnโt have to look perfect! Itโs about breath, presence, and moving together as a community. Take breaks whenever you need them.
One breath. One movement. One round at a time. ๐๐งโโ๏ธ
