Practice & Tengo Players of the Week

Catching up on our award winners from the past two weeks!

LAST WEEK

Practice Player of the Week — Josh Latham
Josh earned Practice Player of the Week through his hard work and willingness to always jump in on scout teams wherever he was needed. He continues to bring great effort and helps make our team better every day.

Tengo Players of the Week — Aaron Burkhart & Parker Kuennen
For the first time, we had a tie for the Tengo! These two seniors truly excelled in their leadership and continue to set a great example for their teammates. Aaron and Parker have shown what it means to lead and truly exemplify what it means to be a Husky!

THIS WEEK

Practice Player of the Week — Gage Swaab
Gage continues to show up with a great attitude and great effort every day. Even when asked to switch positions, he never complains and is always willing to do whatever is asked of him to help the team.

Tengo Player of the Week — Josh Latham
Josh showed exactly what it means to be a great teammate. He was willing to change positions and even gave up some of his free time to learn a completely new position so he could step in and help his teammates.

These guys continue to show that being a Husky is about more than what happens on Friday nights. It’s about effort, leadership, sacrifice, and doing what the team needs.

JV FOOTBALL SCHEDULE UPDATE

Monday’s JV football game at Union has been moved back one week to Monday, September 21st due to both teams dealing with injuries.

A big THANK YOU to Dollar Fresh for supporting our football program!
Dollar Fresh generously donated bananas, apples, and granola bars for our football players to refuel with at halftime. We are very fortunate to live in such a great community that is willing to support of our student-athletes!

🏈 PRACTICE PLAYERS & TENGO PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🏈

Another great week of work from the Huskies, and a few guys stood out with the way they approached practice and their teammates!
Practice Players of the Week — Will Ehn & Will Weig
Both of these young guys are carrying themselves like they’ve been in high school for years. Will and Will continue to show up, work hard, and put in extra time after practice to keep getting better at their craft.
Their work ethic and willingness to stay late and improve does not go unnoticed. Keep stacking days!

TENGO Player of the Week — Landon Rechkemmer

Landon earned this week’s TENGO recognition through outstanding leadership.
When a teammate needed to make up some work after missing practice, Landon didn’t hesitate—he jumped in and ran right alongside him. Before long, 12 other guys joined in.
That’s what leadership looks like. You don’t always have to say something—you set the example, and others follow.
