One thing about horse people: we can turn a completely normal week into evidence for the prosecution REAL fast. š
And I see this all the time as a mental coach.
Youāre committed. You care about getting better. You have goals with your horses.
But the second life doesnāt cooperate with what you had pictured, suddenly weāre questioning EVERYTHING.
Our discipline.
Our commitment.
Whether weāre doing enough.
Whether everybody else is somehow managing this better than we are. š„µ
Meanwhile, Iām over here thinking... can we please look at whatās ACTUALLY happening before we put your entire identity as a rider on trial? š
Because being mentally strong isnāt just about what happens when youāre nervous in the show pen.
Itās also how you think about yourself when training isnāt going perfectly.
How you respond when things change.
And whether you can keep your eyes on the bigger picture instead of letting one frustrating stretch convince you that everything is going backward.
If youāre serious about your horses AND have a real life happening outside the barn, this one is for you.
š SWIPE through this carousel. I think itāll change the way you look at those weeks that seem to get away from you. š“š„
