*NEW COACH SPOTLIGHT*
Hey Gritty family, we have some exciting news! Ashley Stringham has just completed her CrossFit Level 1 certification and will be at the front of our classes SOON! Ashley was born and raised in Ogden, UT. She graduated from Ogden High and then Weber State University with a Bachelor’s in Family Studies. In 2010 she met the love of her life Steve while going to college. Their first date was skiing and the adventures have been getting bigger and better ever since! Together they have 5 crazy babies ages 10-1 and they have basically been raised at the gym. CrossFit has been a part of Ashley’s life since 2012, but after moving 10 times in 10 years they chose to come back to Ogden and she’s been committed to CrossFit since 2017. Ashley believes the workouts are amazing, but her favorite thing about our classes are the people here. When everyone has set aside an hour of their busy day to take care of themselves, we should make it their best hour to tackle everything else going on in life. Plus the power of being competitive can be pretty fun too! Aside from CrossFit she loves to do triathlons, spend time on the boat or in the mountains and bring all of their kids along for ALL of it. Teaching them about the things she loves has been one of the greatest joys in her life. She uses the same motto for her kids as she does in her CrossFit classes “You can do hard things!” We can all do hard things and Ashley can’t wait to continue teaching others how to do those hard things while taking care of themselves and having some fun all at the same time! Welcome to the team, Ashley! We love you and are so excited to see where this takes you!

CrossFit Gritty doesn’t care that you didn’t complete “75 Hard” or you haven’t worked out in over a year.
CrossFit Gritty doesn’t care about the gym you used to go to.
CrossFit Gritty doesn’t care if you wear cut off sweatpants and a stretched out tee or matching Lululemon sets.
CrossFit Gritty isn’t here to punish you for the large pizza and 12 pack of beer you polished off over the weekend.
CrossFit Gritty doesn’t care about what you benched in high school or that you were in “way better shape” before you had kids.
CrossFit Gritty couldn’t give two 💩’s about your past mistakes. If it did, it wouldn’t let me in either.
But, CrossFit Gritty does expect you to show up and misses you when you’re AWOL.
CrossFit Gritty will celebrate what you can do NOW.

**CrossFit Gritty Gym Etiquette**
At CrossFit Gritty, we believe in fostering a supportive and respectful community. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
1. **ARRIVE EARLY**: Give yourself time to warm up and be ready to crush the WOD!
2. **INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE OTHER ATHLETES IN CLASS**: Build connections and camaraderie. We’re all in this together!
3. **DON’T BREAK DOWN YOUR EQUIPMENT UNTIL EVERYONE HAS FINISHED THE WORKOUT**: Let’s support and cheer each other on until the last rep.
4. **BE COACHABLE AND DON’T COACH OTHERS**: Trust your coaches and let them guide you to success.
5. **DON’T DROP EMPTY BARBELLS, DUMBBELLS, OR KETTLEBELLS**: Protect our equipment and your fellow athletes.
6. **CLEANUP AFTER YOURSELF**: Wipe down your area and put away your gear. Leave the space better than you found it.
7. **RESPECT THE AFFILIATE’S POLICIES**: Follow the rules to ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone.
8. **CHECK YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR**: Stay humble, work hard, and focus on your progress.
9. **ONLY USE YOUR EQUIPMENT**: Respect others’ space and gear.
