See how many birdies you can make on the course. It is designed to give you chances but converting them is difficult.

Some people are mistaking an observation for criticism.

I never said Charley Hull has a bad swing. In fact, I think she has one of the best swings on the LPGA Tour.

I spent about three minutes finding three frames that tell the story of her motion:

✅ Sets the levers in the backswing
✅ Delivers them into P6
✅ Releases the levers through impact

That release is going to look “early” to some people, and that’s perfectly fine. She hits the golf ball exceptionally well because her release matches the rest of her motion.

The point wasn’t to criticize Charley. The point was to show golfers that there is more than one way to swing a golf club successfully. Not every great player holds angles forever or chases massive shaft lean.

Impact matters. Charley Hull is a great example of that. Golfers would be wise to study why it works instead of arguing about what label to put on it. There is also a surprise bombshell that Alex will never know. Well maybe someday he will.

Golf is such an amazing game. One of the leaders at the U.S. Women’s Open has what many instructors would label an “early release” pattern through impact—and she’s had it for years.

That’s a great reminder that golf isn’t about chasing perfect positions. It’s about delivering the club consistently, controlling the clubface, managing the path, and producing the ball flight you need.

Too many golfers spend years trying to fix positions that may not need fixing. The best players in the world all have unique swings, unique release patterns, and unique ways of creating speed and consistency. Impact and ball flight are what matter most.

There is more than one way to swing a golf club effectively. The key is finding the pattern that works for you and repeating it under pressure. ⛳️

Certain coaches get upset when I post this. Probably because they aren’t coaches I refer students too. I have recommended coaches at Eagle Mountain, The Barn, Riverside, The Bluff, Glen Eagle, Mt. Ogden, El Monte, Round Valley, Tee Box and of course Remuda and Crane Field. I didn’t get into the Salt Lake courses yet this is more for the Northern courses. SLC is coming.

Become a shot maker and play your game. There are numerous ways to get it done. Do record playing a hole every know and then?

These simple practice sessions are so productive when you are working on technique. Golfers can be too focused on the ball flight instead of impact and consistency of strike. A couple shots go the wrong way on the range and golfers will abandon the changes they need.
