Each year the GAM awards our Superintendent Award of Merit to a superintendent who has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, good character and high standards of conduct through pursuits associated with golf course grounds maintenance and care. We are very excited to announce that our 2025 honoree is Carey Michelson!
MiGCSA executive director Adam Ikamas, CGCS said “Nobody works harder than Carey, either out on the golf course or on the front of MTF…He embodies the spirit of the Award of Merit. His contributions, leadership and dedication to the Michigan’s golf industry and turf industry are unparalleled.”
Mitchelson has been involved in the golf industry for the last 50 years and currently serves as the director of operations for College Fields GC and Executive Director for the Michigan Turfgrass Foundation.
