🌮🔥 When we’re not smoking meat… we’re probably still cooking something! 😂

Tonight Jayden and I switched things up and had a blast at a Tacos de Gobernador Masterclass at La Morenita, hosted by Guillermo Arroyo.

We learned how to make some seriously tasty Tacos de Gobernador along with a fresh Salsa Ranchera — and of course, the best part was getting to eat everything we made! 🌮😋

BBQ will always be our thing, but it’s pretty fun stepping outside the smoker once in a while, learning some new techniques, and adding a few more tricks to the kitchen.

Never stop learning… especially when tacos are involved! 🔥🌮

🏆🔥 GRAND CHAMPIONS! 🔥🏆

Our first—and only—BBQ competition of the year could not have gone any better!

Brisket Butts BBQ competed at the Summer Grillin' BBQ Festival in Leduc, and we walked away 1st place overall as Grand Champions!

Our results:

🐔 10th Place Chicken
🐖 1st Place Ribs
🐷 3rd Place Pork
🥩 6th Place Brisket—and the Wild Child winner! Lakeside Farmstead

What makes this victory even more exciting is that we competed using only our own Brisket Butts BBQ spices on all four meats! We used one of our newest blends on the chicken, ribs and pork, while our brisket was seasoned with our own upcoming Brisket Spice.

Both spices were developed and tested by us, and they’ll be available for everyone to try soon! After today’s results, we’re even more excited to get them into your hands. 👀🔥

A huge thank-you to Nick and Michelle for doing such an incredible job organizing and running the competition and festival this weekend. Events like this take a tremendous amount of work, and you both put on a fantastic weekend!

Congratulations as well to BIGG SMOAK BBQ on earning Reserve Grand Champion—very well deserved and to the rest of the teams who had their name called!🏆

What an incredible few weeks it has been for Brisket Butts BBQ!

This weekend we had the pleasure of catering Quintin & Katie’s wedding at The barn at Lions Garden Estate.

For their special day, we served up our award-winning brisket and ribs, along with mac & cheese, our World Champion Baked Beans, corn, and Caesar salad.

And once again, the feedback absolutely made our day. Hearing the bride, groom, family, and guests come up to us throughout the evening saying “that was the best wedding meal we’ve ever had” is something we never get tired of hearing. 😊

There’s a lot of work that goes into preparing a wedding meal, so seeing everyone enjoying the food and going back for more makes every hour worth it.

A huge congratulations to Quintin & Katie! 🥂💍 Thank you for trusting Brisket Butts BBQ to be part of such an important day. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and amazing memories together. ❤️

🔥 Another beautiful wedding in the books! 🔥

We had the pleasure of catering Kyle & Raquel’s wedding at beautiful Baptist Lake, Alberta, and what a day it was! ☀️💍

The weather couldn’t have been better, and the food came together just the way we wanted. We served up our award-winning brisket, chicken skewers, mac & cheese, corn, Caesar salad, and of course, our World Champion Baked Beans! 🏆🔥

The best part? Hearing so many guests tell us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had! Those comments mean the world to us and are exactly why we love doing what we do.
