The City of Edmond is moving forward with plans for a major investment in Arcadia Lake! Edmond is partnering with LandPlan Consultants of Tulsa to begin the next steps on an ambitious master plan focused on the future of this regional attraction along historic Route 66. More than $2 million has been designated from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for infrastructure investment in support of the plan.

A task force comprised of residents and frequent visitors to Arcadia Lake laid the groundwork for the plan in early 2021. LandPlan Consultants will take direction from that task force’s strategic overview but will also seek additional input from residents and visitors to Arcadia Lake, looking for key additions, strategic upgrades, and far-reaching ideas to take the park to a new level.

That melding of the task force vision, as well as input from the public, will result in a modern and inclusive facility that will provide amenities to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts as well as the casual visitor looking for a new experience in a breath-taking setting.

Stay tuned over the coming months as public feedback opportunities become available for this project. Details will be shared here!
