We will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day, 12/24/25, 12/25/25 and 12/26/25. We are also closed New Years Eve and New Years day, 12/31/25 and 1/1/26.
At National Karate, we train with each other, not against each other.
Partner drills teach teamwork, respect, and real world skills.
Parry the jab, counter with a front leg low kick to break the partner's stance.
Round kick catches teach timing, balance, and smart defense. Train sharp, move smart.

Ninja Night Friday 12/12/25

Drop the kids off for a couple hours for some games, bounce house, and nerf battles! We have all the nerf equipment but they may bring their own if they would like. Pizza will be served. Please register and pay by 12/10/25. Starts at 6:15 and pickup at 8:15.
National Karate was founded in 1974 by Grandmaster Jim Butin. Before starting his school, he was a world champion in bare knuckle karate. Mr. Butin has taught thousands of people in our community and has made a huge impact in the lives of many students.
In 2018, two of Mr. Butin's own black belts, Phillip Roiser and David Steece, took over ownership. Phillip and David started taking classes at National Karate at the age of 6 and they both received their black belt at a young age. They have competed across the nation and won several national championships. Both started out helping in class as assistant instructors and 15 years later they continue the legacy. We consider ourselves a family here at National Karate, and we'd love to tell you more about our story.
