One of the coolest gifts ever! One of my amazing clients brought back this badass poster signed by !!! I’ve been a huge fan since at least 2006. I am blown away to say the least. Then my amazing wife immediately got it framed for me😍😍.

What an incredible night!! I am so happy to see the team coming together more with each event we do. Last night was a game-changer for sure! Congratulations to everyone that got awards and thanks to everyone that helped us pull this off. As usual, none of it would be possible without my amazing wife .south_rd. I promise the next one will be double the fun!


I’d also like to shout out for catering the food and for catering the drinks. Both are awesome local business owned by members of NMA.

Every time I teach a Women’s Self Defense seminar I say “I need to do this more often!”
It was an honor to teach at the event. Lots of ambitious individuals looking to improve themselves. While no singular training event can fully prepare someone for a real attack, vital lessons can be learned about the nature of such attacks as well as strategies to survive and, better yet, avoid them altogether. I hope to see and participate in more and more events like this in the future!

It is so easy to be in a negative mindset these days. So much information is thrown in our faces all day long that we are often mentally checked out- we are someplace else. If not dwelling on social media, then on the past or in the future. But the only place that true happiness and fulfillment can be experienced is here and now.
I am extremely futurist by nature; always scheming about the next move and anticipating events in order to be prepared. While I have found this to be helpful in my career, it can also be hurtful in my personal enjoyment of life. Today I am thankful for the beautiful weather and the ability to start my day with a couple private lessons with some exceptionally dedicated students. Although much more is on the way, this is plenty for now.
