I love this post from the amazing Oak Hill school in Texas (we Oklahomans won't even hold that against them! ;) ) Our school ranges from 7-to-64; all with the same uniform, same creed, same etiquette. We practice "without regard to politics, race or religion", and I will add also, without regard to s*x or orientations. In K*k Sool, we are one.

Ever wonder why everyone wears the same uniform in K*k Sool Won? It's not just tradition for tradition's sake. The WKSA uniform creates a sense of belonging and teamwork, turning a room full of individuals into a school, a tradition, and a martial arts family. It connects today's students to generations of practitioners who trained before them and shows respect for the art and its customs.

Different ages, different belts, different backgrounds... same uniform, same journey.🙂

Many of my students have heard me talk about my teacher in Germany, 9th dan Master Kwon. His sincere humbleness, crazy skills (breaks rocks with a newspaper!!), and amazing ability to teach complex concepts make him a true legend.

Shout out to the 15 testers (including 3 DBNs) today, ages 8-to-63. Amazing how multi-generational this art can be! Special shout out to Brett Pearson for winning the EXCELLENCE medal for best tester.

Happy birthday to our grandmaster, K*k Sa Nim. The world little realizes the impact this one human being has had on millions of practitioners all around the world.
