**UPDATE OF NEW SCHOOL TIMES FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR**

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝘁𝗼-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲!

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, OKCPS will make a small adjustment to the school day to comply with a new Oklahoma law.

Under Senate Bill 1481, all Kindergarten through 5th grade students must receive at least 40 minutes of supervised, unstructured recess each day—double the previous requirement. The law also prohibits recess from being withheld as a form of discipline.

To meet this new requirement while protecting valuable classroom learning time, OKCPS has made a slight adjustment to the school day for the upcoming school year.

High Schools: 7:35 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Classen SAS High School at Northeast: 8:10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
Pre-K Centers: 8:00 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
Elementary Schools: 8:10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
Middle Schools: 8:50 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Alt. Ed Schools: No change

June 27th- July 5th

ATTENTION REDWOLVES: The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) has designated
June 27-July 5, 2026, as the annual OSSAA Dead Period. This mandatory nine-day break is designed to provide athletes, coaches, and families with time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the summer holiday without school athletic obligations. During the OSSAA Dead Period, several restrictions are in place for all member schools:

These regulations apply to all OSSAA member schools and are intended to ensure student-athletes have an opportunity to spend time with family and take a break from the demands. Enjoy your time off and happy 4th of July stay safe.

As xc comes to an end and our kids enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Getting ready for the soccer season. Thanks to supreme auto for helping make the Thanksgiving dinner possible. Also thanks to our Oklahoma City Police Athletic League for the training our student athletes have been having at their facilities and helping them get better.

Congratulations to our Cross-Country runners Angel and Vilma on being student athlete of the month.

Congrats to our Supreme Auto Body Shop Student Athletes of the Month for October! Angel and Vilma were selected for their work in the classroom and on the race track! Way to go!
