💦 Construction Phase: Gunite

Once the pre-gunite inspection passes, we join the gunite company’s first-come, first-served schedule. Notice can be short and if your pool is the first project of the day the crew may arrive before sunrise.

We almost always shoot gunite within 5-7 days of breaking ground 🤘

After the gunite is applied, it must cure for 5–7 days. Depending on the weather, we may ask you to water the gunite once or twice daily to help slow the curing process.

It’s a loud day, but it’s also an exciting one. Your pool finally looks like a pool. We promise your neighbors will forgive us for the noise.

🚧 Construction Phase: Excavation, Plumbing & Rebar

Excavation day is when your pool officially begins taking shape! Our crew typically arrives between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. After confirming the final measurements, the pool is usually excavated in one day. Every elevation is measured carefully with a laser level and finished by hand with a shovel. We think it’s pretty impressive.

Plumbing and rebar are completed over the next 3–4 days. Once everything is ready, we request the city’s pre-gunite inspection before moving forward.

We’re starting a new series that takes you through every phase of building a custom pool—from the initial layout to Pool School.

Before construction begins, we handle all of the permitting and utility locate requests. About one week before excavation, we’ll meet with you to paint the final pool layout, confirm placement and discuss any sprinkler lines that need to be rerouted.

This meeting helps ensure every detail is right before the digging begins. Follow along to see how we turn a backyard plan into a finished pool!

Corey and I went out to Charlie And Juliana‘s pool today to install a handrail for them. The backyard really took on a new look. I love the transformation of this backyard. thank you guys for choosing Bell & Bell Pools.

Spotlighting the Simmons Family!

This one was a bit of a unique build as we were working with the family as they transitioned to Oklahoma. This pool was built with multiple generations preferences in mind, and we love the little touches of added functionality. 🔔🔔

This is an 18’ x 36’ with a 10 foot tanning ledge and 7’ x 7’ spa.
