MOVE
Many times people tell me they just don't have time to workout. I get that...Different seasons of life we have more time and different things vying for our attention. The problem is, people think if you don't have a full 45 min-1 hour to workout you might as well not do anything. NOT THE CASE. Some of the best workouts are the high intensity tabata workouts. Something we can get in with little time.
A tabata=20 seconds go hard/10 seconds rest for 8 rounds or 4 minutes. Put a couple of those together and you are one sweaty mess. I do these on days, I have big project, can't get to the gym, or kids are sick and at home.
You can add any exercises: Jumping jacks, burpees, high knees, push-ups. The choices are endless. Try a tabata today and let me know if you are winded:)
WORKOUT 2:
TABATA (20 seconds on/10 seconds off for 8 rounds)
2 ROUNDS (8 rounds=4 minutes):
Jumping jacks
Plank to squat
Lunge jumps
Skaters
REST 1 minute
2 ROUNDS (8 rounds=4 minutes):
Tricep Dips on steps
Push-ups
Backwards plank
REST 1 Minute

Tabata 12 min workout. Core,arms,legs

I "supposedly" have had the flu. At least that is what Dr. Grant says....although laying in bed and binging on reading and netflix has been divine, I just needed to move today....I love my high intensity workouts but today I just wanted to move my body to get the kinks out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5nyrD4eM64

The practice of yoga for someone who lifts and who does metabolic conditioning (just think bursts of high intensity, sprints, crossfit wods.) Is magic for my body. It opens up things that are too tight. Flexibility is key to grow.

If I could get 2x of yoga in a week it would benefit my body greatly. Thanks Sharon Roberts Hayes for my Namaste gift certificate. I plan to take the challenge for myself.
