Restoring comfort, independence, and hope for a better life. We make comfortable sockets accessible for those who otherwise don't have access.

Our Story:
Founder Jay Martin, CP, FAAOP was invited by NASA to help create an Ironman exoskeleton suit for space and military applications. Through working with NASA he discovered and created counter-intuitive new methods of how to make prosthetics more comfortable. He then set out to create the most comfortable sockets on earth… and the Socket-less Socket™ was born. Now thousands of amputees aro

Daren was unable to jump and run around in his previous sockets, but he can confidently say (and show) that he can do that now with his Socket-less Socket!

Thank you to our Clinical Network Partner, Mary Free Bed Orthotics & Prosthetics + Bionics in Michigan for providing Daren with compassionate care and a comfortable Socket-less Socket.

Jimmy is now walking in comfort in his Socket-less Socket! 🙌

Providing innovative socket technology is essential to our mission and we recognize the importance of collaborating with great organizations, such as Limbs for Life Foundation, to make comfort possible.

Jimmy recently received his new prosthesis and sent us this message.
“I just wanted to reach out to thank each and every donor and everyone involved in making this a reality. It is truly a blessing. It's going to change my life for the better.”

This kind of gift is only possible through your generosity. Please donate today at: limbsforlife.org

"I absolutely LOVE my MB socket!!! It gave me back my life!!!" - Audrey E.

Audrey had her amputation in 2023, after 15 plus surgeries following a botched knee replacement surgery. She struggled with the traditional “bucket” socket and was in constant pain. After 4 different sockets, walking in a painful socket and playing the “sock game”, she gave up and bought a wheelchair after deciding that was going to be her life. Fast forward to September 2025, she wanted to try again to find a comfortable fit. After more trials and failed socket fittings of experiencing the same issues, she found Cunningham Prosthetics in S**o, Maine that fit the Martin Bionics Socketless-Socket.

She commented that her Socket-less Socket is a "Total game changer!!! I literally cried when I put on the MB socket and had NO PAIN! I got my final socket a week ago and I’m still wearing the smile you see!!!"

We are ecstatic for Audrey as she continues to step into newfound comfort!
