Our Old Town Predator 13 fishing kayaks have been a huge hit with anglers on guided trips this season, and it’s easy to see why.
Fishing from your own kayak adds a whole new level of freedom to a guided day on the water. You can work a shoreline at your own pace, make that extra cast into a promising piece of cover, troll across deeper water, or simply explore—while your guide is still right alongside you in their own boat, pointing out spots, offering advice, and helping throughout the day. They’re stable, comfortable, have plenty of room for rods and gear, and make an excellent platform whether you’re fly fishing, casting or trolling.
Getting these heavier fishing kayaks to the water is a whole lot easier thanks to our Wilderness Systems Suspenz Heavy Duty carts, too. We’ve been putting them to work hauling fully loaded Predators across sand, rocks, rough ground and uneven trails, and they’ve handled it all with ease. It opens up even more possibilities for getting these boats beyond the roadside launches and onto some pretty special Adirondack water.
A modern twist on the solo fishing trip—and one we’ll definitely be doing a lot more of.
