Friday night, one of our own, Leslie Reeder, was involved in a pretty serious car accident.
I don't know all the details, and I don't want to speak on things I don't know. What I do know is that Leslie is in pretty rough shape. From what I've been told, he's going to be okay, but he has a long and difficult road of recovery ahead of him.
And Leslie isn't just a member of Fit By G.
He's family. He's our brother.
I honestly don't think you could put into words how many people's lives this man has influenced inside these walls over the years. I'm one of them.
I remember coming into this gym probably 15 years ago. I was strong, lifting heavy, and like most young guys who think they're strong, I thought I knew everything. 😂 Leslie never acted like he knew more than me or tried to make me feel stupid. He would just politely say, "Hey, try doing it this way," or show me a little adjustment to my form or a different way of doing something.
And he made me better.
He helped me become stronger, smarter, and eventually reach some of those crazy goals I had set for myself.
And let me tell you something about Leslie, that dude is HARDCORE.
I've trained with a lot of strong people in my life, but Leslie is the one person I can say legitimately broke me. 😂 We did a shoulder workout together once, and I didn't think anybody could make me quit.
Leslie did.
That's just who he is. He doesn't know how to stop. He's a worker. He's a fighter. He hikes. He trains. He reads. He studies. He's incredibly intelligent, and most importantly, he genuinely loves people.
If you've spent much time at Fit By G, chances are Leslie has encouraged you, helped you, taught you something, made you laugh, or somehow made your day a little better.
Now it's our turn to be there for him.
So sometime today, please take a minute and say a prayer, send some positive thoughts, or just think about our brother Leslie and the fight he has ahead of him.
And knowing Leslie...
He's going to fight like hell.
We love you, brother. You've spent years making everyone around you stronger.
Now we're all standing behind YOU. 💪🦍❤️
