🧘‍♀️The Equine Connection: Yoga with Horses last night was gorgeous with a gentle breeze and warm sunshine. The horses were fully engaged and drawn to the energy of our intention of connection to nature, self, and the herd. Special thanks to those who attended, and our yoga leader Shari Russell🙏

Our Barn Friends group from Limitless Meraki Health enjoyed a day of water play, swinging, sensory exploration in nature, and of course connecting with and riding the horses 🤠

Kala had her first official lesson under saddle today! She did an excellent job, and her rider was very patient; they worked together beautifully ☺️ Students worked through the barrel pattern & posting trot, and 2 riders had their second independent trot and are doing great! Very proud of everyone today 🙌

Students worked through the barrel pattern today- some for the first time- and others with new horses! We like this pattern for regulating pace, creating balance in the horse, memorizing patterns, so much more! 🤠

It was great to see some familiar faces from the past tonight while regular students were off! The girls did a great job jumping back into their learning and skills, and our regular students worked of walk/trot transitions & patterns 🤠

Riders had fun tonight working with new horses through obstacles, building the horses confidence & trust. Learning new patterns and sequences, as well as working on their trotting goals 🐎

🤠Barn Brat crew members got dirty today cleaning up around the sign, resetting bricks, and laying down mulch; then they cooled off scrubbing water buckets. For our horse activity Honey got a full spa treatment with a bath 🛁

Advancing skills and being on the cusp of starting something new is always exciting, and sometimes scary. It’s important to have solid foundational skills before leveling up, for building strength, confidence, and to have safe experiences.
Today a rider previewed cantering, and another did their first independent trot laps around the arena! We also worked on patterns and posting, as well as transition work 🤠
