Today’s my birthday, and I thought I'd share a personal tradition with you – one that’s been a true game-changer in how I approach each new year of my life.
I’ve always felt that my birthday is like my personal New Year – a time to reflect, reset, and get intentional. January resolutions feel kind of forced and usually fade fast, right? But when I set intentions on my birthday, it feels more personal, meaningful, and empowering.
Here’s how I approach it:
Reflect on the Past Year
I take a deep dive through my planner, journals, photos – anything that captures my year. I recognize and celebrate the growth, the wins, the fun, the lessons, and the hard moments I’ve worked through. This helps me wrap up my year with gratitude, pride, and motivation for what’s next.
Align with My Values
Reflecting on my top values is crucial! Feeling clear on what is most important to me and allowing those values to guide where and how I spend my time, energy, and focus is what brings me a sense of fulfillment in life. (If you haven’t done my values workbook yet, do yourself a favor - drop me a line and I'll send it to you!)
Set Intentions for the Year Ahead
Instead of rigid goals, I focus on how I want to feel. This gives me flexibility – multiple paths can bring me closer to those feelings. By holding on to the feelings I want in my life, I find it’s easier to make choices that nourish me and lead me towards what I really want. This approach gives me a feeling of freedom (a top value of mine!) and lets me adapt as I go.
So, this birthday, as I set my intentions, I’m filled with gratitude for the past year and so much excitement for the year ahead. And I want the same for you! (whether it's your birthday month or not 😉)

One of the best ways to develop a healthy relationship with food and eat more consistently is to surround yourself with like-minded people.
We're deeply influenced by our communities, the information we take in, and the people we spend time with. If you've experienced yo-yo dieting, you know how those environments can keep you stuck in a restrictive cycle that doesn't last.
But when you're surrounded by women and ideas that support a healthier, sustainable approach, that positive influence naturally starts to take hold. That's what my Easeful Eating Facebook community is all about—a space for women with shared goals to support each other, with daily resources and encouragement from me.

How impactful could it be to take some time to truly send love and gratitude to your body? It’s something we don’t do nearly enough.
In my next Guided Visualization Meditation, we’re going to do just that. We’ll come together in a peaceful, grounded space to connect deeply with our bodies, sending love and appreciation where it’s most needed. This isn’t about changing anything—just about feeling into a sense of ease and love.
