🌲Help Launch Practical Shooting Practice at Evergreen🌲

What: RO Testing & Orientation

When: Saturday, June 20 | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Where: Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club Olympia, WA

Who: Shooters with competitive shooting experience or significant fi****ms training experience.

We’re building a practical shooting practice program with:
• One stage bay
• One flat range bay

The goal is to give shooters a place to practice where they’ll actually compete—without driving to Capitol Forest.

Already an RO? Come volunteer. Some testing requirements may be waived.

Not RO certified? You’ll need to pass a written and practical evaluation.

Volunteer ROs must be ESC members ($75/year). Public practice session participants will NOT need an ESC membership.

Volunteer ROs will also be able to attend volunteer-only practice sessions for free.

Whether you’re brand new to practical shooting or a seasoned competitor, ASI is a great way to build safe gun handling, movement, target transitions, and stage planning skills in a welcoming environment.

🌲Volunteer Range Officers Needed🌲

EPS is looking for volunteer Range Officers to help support our upcoming practical shooting practice sessions at .

The goal is simple: give local shooters a safe, structured place to practice practical shooting skills where they’ll actually compete.

Our current plan is to utilize two bays:
• One bay set up as a practical shooting stage
• One bay configured as a flat range with multiple targets

Shooters will be able to work on movement, transitions, stage planning, target transitions, and marksmanship without having to drive out to Capitol Forest to find a place to train.

Planned Schedule
• Monday evenings, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday evenings, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Volunteer RO Requirements
• Current Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club member ($75 annual membership)
• Practical shooting experience (USPSA, ASI, PCSL, or similar)
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive training environment

Volunteer ROs will help supervise shooters, enforce safety standards, and support the growth of practical shooting at Evergreen.
