Another tournament has come and gone! Yesterday I had my 2nd BFL tournament as a co-angler down on LOZ again. Friday was practice/fun fishing with MaLevin Fishing and I caught a pretty solid fish weighing 3lbs 12oz on a chatterbait. The rest of the fish I caught on a Texas rigged lizzard.

Now as for competition day I again was throwing a Texas Rigged lizzard and a chatterbait. In the morning I caught quite a few shorts throwing the T-rig. After 11am we began burning the bank. At that point I struggled to produce a bite. By end of day I did not catch a keeper so in turns I did blank. However I did not leave empty handed. I learned a lot more about that lake that I didn’t already know.

Day 2 is a wrap! Another day of grinding for bites. We caught 3 for 6lbs 8oz putting our two day total at 10lbs 10oz. I was fortunate enough to hook into a nice Arkansas 3 1/2 pounder. Alot of teams catching fish but a great deal only weighing in 1 to 3 fish. Weather is changing from mid 80’s the last few days to high of 65 tomorrow and mostly cloudy and a light wind. MaLevin Fishing and I have a plan for say number 3 tomorrow we hope it pans out! Wish us luck!

Day 1 is in the books! It was another grind of a day however MaLevin Fishing and I were able to put 2 keepers in the boat for weigh-ins. We are hoping we’ve put a pattern together for the next few days! Lets Go!!!

Here we are!! After a grind of a season last year with my fishing partner MaLevin Fishing we were still able to qualify for NBAA Nationals down here at Lake Dardanelle Arkansas. Day 1 and 2 of practice were extremely tough. Day 1 of the tournament is tomorrow! We just got done tying on a few different rigs. We are going to put our heads down and just fish tomorrow!

Was able to get out this weekend in between stste wrestling sessions in Grand Island NE and rip a couple of lips dragging a jig with a Hookz Fishing Co. craw trailer! My 1st two fish of 2024 a 4lber and a 4 1/2lber!! A great start to the year!

So I know its been awhile but the past three tournaments have not gone well at all!

That being said my buddy MaLevin Fishing and I managed to pull off a 3rd place finish and a little payout!! My big fish weighing 2.54lbs helped us secure that placing!! I caught that biggie on a skirted swim jig with a Hookz Fishing Co. 3” paddle tail swimbait!! If you haven’t checked out their baits yet go check them out!! One more regular season tournament to go next Wednesday evening!! One last chance to tag a first place finish home!!

Zeik Stamper – The Z-Man Mullet – Mullet Champ Zeik started growing his mullet for wrestling. Some of the older kids that were bad dudes in the wrestling room had mullets so he wanted to be like them and that was the start of the Z-man mullet.

Yesterday was our last day in Indiana visiting our friends. The wives took the babies to a pottery project and us two dads took the two older kiddos to the neighborhood pond and caught over 30 Bass between us and a few big bluegill!! My great friend Daniel Spencer and I even doubled up!! It was a blast of a time visiting our friends!!

Was able to teach and show my buddy Daniel Spencer the way of the frog bite last night!! That top water bite is on a level of it’s own!
