We took first-dance lessons with Alex at Simply Ballroom in Omaha, and we can’t recommend him enough. We came in a little nervous (and not totally sure what we were doing), but Alex made it feel easy, comfortable, and actually fun from the very first lesson. He broke everything down into simple, doable steps, explained things clearly, and coached us in a way that helped us look polished without feeling forced or overwhelmed. He was patient, encouraging, and really good at adjusting to our pace while still helping us make real progress every week. Honestly, it turned into more than just “wedding prep”—it became a genuinely amazing date night for us. We looked forward to every lesson, laughed a lot, and felt more connected each time… and we’ll probably keep coming back even after the wedding just because it’s that enjoyable. Tip for other couples: don’t wait until the last minute—start a little earlier than you think you need, and practice in short sessions at home (even 10–15 minutes). It makes a huge difference. Thank you, Alex, for making our first dance feel special and giving us such a great experience along the way! 🤍

Simply Ballroom is simply the best!! My dad, fiancé, and I took private lessons with Alex to prepare for the father-daughter and first dances at our wedding. Alex was an absolute joy to work with! He put us all at ease from the very first class with his patient and lighthearted demeanor. Each week, Alex reinforced basic steps and framing, slowly adding a twist here and a dip there, to ensure we felt poised and confident on the big day! We had so much fun taking lessons with Simply Ballroom that we hope to make time in the future for more advanced classes. I could not recommend Alex more highly!

We had a lot of fun with Alex! He's a very good dancer. He is entertaining to learn from, we always were laughing having a good time. I have pretty bad anxiety and when I didn't understand something he didn't make me feel dumb or pressured to learn it quickly but instead he found a song that helped me understand and hear the Rhythm he was trying to get me to find. He is very respectful and he has boundaries that make everyone comfortable. If you are a woman going alone to dance I promise you will feel safe.
