To all my q***r, brown, indigenous, female, immigrant, and marginalized friends: I understand if you woke up today with a sense of dread and fear. Dread for the hateful rhetoric we may endure over the next four years; fear for the loss of our rights and protections; and for some, fear of violence—even for our lives. For many today is a day of grief. You have every right to feel this way.

This storm is a wild one, and can feel terrifying at times.

While I wish I could wave a magic wand to make it all better, I promise you that we will endure and thrive again. In fact, we’ll evolve at an accelerated rate. Remember, you are not alone. You are never alone. We have resources and loved ones who will stand by our side. We have our soul team on the ready.

To all my friends and allies of the marginalized: please check in on your loved ones. Offer them a hug, a compassionate ear, and words of encouragement and support. Be their safe harbor.

Remember that the grand cosmic disco has a way of making things feel unbearable just before the best is revealed. In fact, you were made for these times!
