The 7-3 Sioux City Futures head to Omaha/Council Bluffs this weekend to play in the River Cities Classic Tournament. They play at 1:00 and 3:00 on Saturday and 10:30 AM on Sunday. If they are in the top 2 they will then play in the Championship game at 1:00 Sunday. Here is the tournament link:

Sioux City Futures 10u had a strong showing in Des Moines winning the 10u Majors Championship going 4-1. They knocked off one of the top teams in the state, the Iowa Sticks 5-3 in the semis and revenged a loss in pool play by beating the Norwalk Naturals in the championship. The team clubbed 38 hits and scored 45 runs. They played great defense all tournament and had some big pitching performances on the mound in the semis and championship round. Good team effort all around. The team will be off for Easter and has a scrimmage set up for April 23rd before traveling to Omaha for a tournament April 30 and May 1.

The Sioux City Futures 10u team opens their season this Friday at the Siouxland Expo Center for the Wheelhouse Sioux City Spring Indoor Classic against the Sioux City Showtime Hitter’s at 6PM. They play Nebraska Prime Red at 8:50 PM Saturday night and bracket play starts Sunday. Come on out and watch some youth baseball at the Expo Center with teams coming from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota at the 10u and 13u level.

Introducing our 2022 Sioux City Futures 10U Baseball team. The boys will get started in early January preparing for the SC Indoor Tournament at the end of March.

Futures will be having tryouts for next year's 2022 10u team on August 8th from 5:00-7:00 at Headid Little League Field 5. Our team will be chosen by end of August and get together a couple times in the Fall We will start indoor practice at least 1X per week sometime in January and start next season in April. We will participate in 8+ tournaments throughout the year and we will play in competitive tournaments in the region at the AAA or higher level.

The Sioux Cty Futures ended their season this past weekend with a runner-up finish for 9AAA. These boys really improved throughout the year in all facets of the game and are a good group of kids. Thanks to all the parents and coaches that worked together since January with this group. They played a tough schedule and finished with two runner-up finishes and beat some good teams. Each one of the boys will be playing on their respective Little League district teams and we look forward to seeing them on the field battling against each other. Thanks to all of our sponsors who made our season possible!!
